Way of Kabbalah Meditations
Z'ev ben Shimon Halevi
These four meditations are designed to shift the level of consciousness
upwards by the mode of imagination. Each one is a progression using
Kabbalistic principles in archetypal form. Take note of what stands out
and Interpret it in terms of your outer or inner life. This will tell
you your situation at this moment. Tomorrow it may be quite different.
Use the appropriate meditation from time to time when the need arises to
take stock and perceive the deeper and wider picture of your life and
path.
House of the Psyche is a symbolic image of the mind.
Each area reveals the present state of the function and the level it
represents. The basement represents the body, the garden vitality and
the pet one's instinctive soul, while the hall and surrounding rooms
symbolize the ordinary mind. The upper floors are aspects of the
unconscious, soul and spirit. Take note of their state. It is very
informative.
Temple School is a
visit to a school of the soul in the upper realm. It is a four-day
course under the discipline of different masters. After an assessment of
your life, your personal Teacher takes you up into the Hall of the
Spirit where important and relevant questions may be answered. The
dreams, as in other meditations, are to allow the unconscious to
communicate without the impediment of a tight structure, with a
surprising result.
Ladder of Creation is a panoramic view of Existence
from the lowest to the highest levels. Observe and experience each stage
and learn how to extend the imagination and transform it into vision.
This is a very useful meditation to regain a sense of proportion when
one becomes too bogged down with the mundane and personal.
Pilgrim's Way is an inner journey from all that is
familiar into the Higher Worlds. On the way distinct levels are passed
through that tell about the character of your mind, its memories and the
state of your soul represented by the boat. You will also encounter your
inner Teacher who takes you up to the Heavenly Jerusalem and the Holy
Temple.
